Home finding in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand

Moving your family
to New Zealand?

The hardest part is finding a home and making it yours — I know, I did it with three boys in tow. Now it's what I do for families moving to Hawke's Bay from overseas — on the ground in Napier, Hastings and Havelock North.

How it works

Calm, step by step

A clear path from your first call to the day you pick up the keys — most of it handled while you're still on the other side of the world.

1

The intro call

A short call to understand your move — who's coming, your timeline, budget, work and schools. We'll work out together whether we're the right fit, and I'll send you a short written brief afterwards — my suggestions on neighbourhoods, schools and timing.

2

Plan & shortlist

I learn the brief properly, then do the legwork — sifting the market and bringing you a shortlist of homes and neighbourhoods that suit your family. From here you've got the community too: the relocation checklist to draw on and my local guide to the area.

3

Remote viewings

I walk through each home on a live video call so you see it as it really is — or record it, so you and your partner can rewatch before deciding. You decide from afar, with me on the ground.

4

The application & lease

I help you through the rental application and lease. Landing Concierge — my setting-up service — is an optional extra, if you'd like it.

Keys & first weeks

You arrive to keys in hand, and I'm here through your first weeks while everything still feels new.

Families we've helped

We moved to Hawke's Bay from Los Angeles for a new job and an adventure, with our two kids in tow. From the outside, a move like this looks exciting, but from the inside, it means making a thousand small decisions in a place you've never set foot in.

Cat guided us on local nuances that maps couldn't show, like school distances and neighborhood dynamics; which helped us narrow down our search for a house. She viewed homes for us and walked us through them via video and live calls! Because of her, we were able to secure a rental before we had even finished packing. Cat organized all of the things we were worried about tackling into an easy-to-use checklist, which helped us prioritize and stay on track. During those first crucial days of jet lag and bewilderment, she was always a reassuring, cheerful local contact for our questions that came up. And there were many!

It's almost 2 months later and we're still using her online portal for recommendations and references.

Moving across the world was more daunting than we could've imagined, but having Cat on our side really made the difference. She truly helped us land softly and we can't imagine having done this without her.

Relocated from Los Angeles · our first family

Cat was a huge part of helping me and my kids start our new life here in New Zealand. Moving from California to NZ was a mission, but she supported us every step of the way - from the stressful moments to finally getting the keys.

Thanks to her, my girls and I now have community around us that fits exactly what our family needed, and we couldn't be more grateful.
